PW has reserved its entire second level for shared public use. The second level is the string that comes before .pw. For example: boston.pw, smith.pw, survivors.pw and soxfans.pw are all second level domains. We call them PW Community Domains. PW can provide a Community Domain for every surname, every city and town, every ethnic group, every hobby, every non-profit and every ad-hoc informal group that exists anywhere in the world.

Independent marketers are able to secure an exclusive sales and marketing license to any second-level PW domain. We call these "PW Sponsorships. A PW Sponsorship is not a domain name registration. Instead, it is an exclusive marketing license for a PW second level domain, such as Smith.pw. Apply for a PW Community Sponsorship.

There are three types of PW Sponsorships:

PW Affiliate Sponsorship. PW Registry will pay you $5 for every sale.

PW Reseller Sponsorship. PW Registry will rebate $5 for every sale.

PW Defensive Sponsorship. Blocks the resale of addresses for the Sponsored Domain.

How an PW Affiliate Sponsorship Works.
You are probably already aware of internet Affiliate programs. This is where you receive a commission for any referrals you make that results in a sale. The problem is that all of the merchant's affiliates are selling from the same fixed inventory. You are competing with hundreds and maybe thousands of other affiliates selling the exact same service. You get credit for the sale only if you can prove you were directly responsible for the sale. With a PW Affiliate Sponsorship, you are the only affiliate getting paid. No matter who makes the sale, you receive a commission from PW Registry. You are able to target a very specific demographic based on the type of domain you Sponsor. Imagine if you were the only affiliate receiving sales commissions for million-member communities like smith.pw or irish.pw.

An Affiliate Sponsorship license allows you to be creative in your marketing and receive a sales commission without being directly involved in the sale. For example, PW Sponsorships are ideal for multi-level marketing campaigns. You are guaranteed commissions on every sale no matter which PW registrar makes the sale.

How a PW Reseller Sponsorship Works.
As is customary in the domain name industry, registrars for PW Registry pre-fund a debit account with the registry and pay registry fees for the bundle of spam-free email forwarding and personal websites. Registrars may resell addresses for any second level PW domain.

PW offers a Reseller Sponsorship model which allows greater control over a target community. Reseller Sponsors are granted an exclusive license to resell a particular PW second level domain and receive a rebate for each domain year sold.

Reseller Sponsors either utilize PW’s “registrar-in-a-box” solution or partner with a domain name registrar to operate what is essentially a private domain name registry for a PW second level domain.

How a PW Defensive Sponsorship Works.
